Le Canada a joué un rôle principal dans la création de la convention de Stockholm qui adresse le problème des polluants qui s'accumulent dans notre chaîne alimentaire arctique. La convention de Rotterdam a concentré une attention internationale sur les exportations canadiennes de l'amiante chrysolite.

Donald Cooper et David Ogden sont basés au bureau de Genève du Programme des Nations Unies pour l’environnement(PNUE). Ils présenteront le travail de l'PNUE sur les conventions de Stockholm et de Rotterdam, répondront à des questions, et mèneront une table ronde sur les questions actuelles.

Canada played a leading role in creating the Stockholm Convention that addresses pollutants that accumulate in our Arctic food chain. The Rotterdam Convention has focused international attention on Canadian exports of chrysotile asbestos.

Donald Cooper and David Ogden are based in United Nations Environment Program's (UNEP) Geneva office. They will present UNEP’s work on the Stockholm and Rotterdam conventions, answer questions, and lead a roundtable discussion on current issues.
